Independant Family - Gift Shop

Clairabella is an independent family run gift shop based in High Wycombe.

Clairabella is owned by two sisters who have a passion for great customer service and a genuine love of retail.

Claire and Susie have wanted to set up a retail outlet locally for some time “We have now found products that we know customers will love. We believe in trading fairly and being as environmental friendly as possible, this has been a consideration for all our products.”

We are offering a friendly and professional retail outlet that is enjoyable to shopping experience. Wycombe has such a creative vibe that Clairabella offers a place for local arts and crafts to be sold to customers alongside fair trade products from around the world.

Due to many requests we can now offer some of our range on this web site. Whether you are looking for jewellery, candles, ornaments or unusual musical instruments, there is something for you. There is also a range of traditional toys and games.

When not being the bossy big sis. Claire is sourcing new products and developing the business.

We wanted to bring the fun back into shopping. I still get surprised when hearing music from the musical section of the shop. It is lovely to hear laughter in the shop. Children and the ‘young at heart’ can play with the toys. Most of the time it is the older generation that are playing with the puppets.

I really enjoy finding something different to sell in the shop and hope you like our range.

The sensible one -
retail manager

We call him the sensible one but when you visit the shop you will normally see Don trying to play the didgeridoo, or flying the propelled plane across the shop. We have decided to call this product training…….

Don makes sure the shop is well presented and all visitors are greeted with a smile.

Little sis -
design monkey

Susie is an experienced graphic designer with an eye for beautiful products. Her inspiration for our products comes from her months spent travelling.

Susie works with our talented local arts and crafts people to bring a great selection of products to the shop. Susie also keeps the website running.

Rest of the clan

As a family run business we often call on the experience of our other two sisters and our very hardworking mum. They have been painting, putting up shelves, working on tills and in office. What STARS!

We also tip our hat to our late dad who gave us the inspiration to “give it a go”

Priti

As a student of jewellery making Priti brings her creative side to our shop. Within a week we found her talking with the puppets.

Priti loves the musical section of the shop but can not get a note out of the digeridoo (yet)

Kat

As a family friend Kat understands our passion for the shop. It probably helps that she is as mad as us and loves to make sure that everything is fit for purpose (Yes that does mean she plays with the toys).

Kat bring a wealth of experience to our company and helps us to choose new products. When buying toys we make sure her young daughter Becca approves.
